Bio
Ben Sklodowski
Indie-Fused Alternative Rock with Heart and Grit
Ben Sklodowski is a Boston-based artist originally from Wilmington, Delaware. His music blends indie rock, hard rock, and elements of metal into a sound that doesn’t chase genre—it just follows the feeling. The goal has always been connection: something that could speak to an 8-year-old or an 80-year-old, with songs that are both musically adventurous and emotionally honest. On stage, he's known for bringing raw energy and genuinely connecting with the crowd, and his songwriting leans into frustration, confusion, and hope, always aiming to say something real. Though still early in his journey, Sklodowski has started building momentum along the East Coast and has even been featured in music blogs as far as Brazil and Spain.
His path into music wasn’t typical. He started out as an athlete before getting into drumming, eventually playing in local Delaware bands and even taking the mic in a few of them. That passion led him to Berklee College of Music, where he was accepted for drumset. But it was his brother’s old guitar that shifted everything—opening up a whole new way to create and express. Songwriting quickly became the place that felt most like home.
In 2024, Sklodowski released his debut album, Blossom Phoenix, a collection that introduced his sound with honesty and grit. In August 2025, he put out the single “Snowing In July,” continuing to evolve while staying rooted in what matters: strong melodies, emotional clarity, and thoughtful songwriting. He also recently released the song “For the Worms” along with a cover of Geese’s “Islands of Men,” showing both his continued growth as a writer and his appreciation for artists pushing boundaries. His track “Finches” was noted by independent reviewers for its layered arrangement and subtle build, described as a song that “never pushes too hard, but never lets go.” “Heliotrope,” a heavier and more experimental track, features a standout guitar solo and a big, anthemic chorus—showcasing a different side of his sound while staying grounded in intention.
Sklodowski performs with a full live band, bringing even more energy and depth to his shows. His bandmates also play a major role in the studio, helping shape the live chemistry and expanding the scope of each release.
Currently working on his second full-length album, Sklodowski continues to push his songwriting into new territory while staying grounded in the raw energy and authenticity that define his music.
